Welcome to the Nursing Department at the University of Central Oklahoma!  We are excited that you are considering UCO for your nursing education; be it the beginning of your career as a RN or the continuation of an already successful nursing career.

Because we understand that the needs of a traditional nursing student and a career ladder nursing student are not the same, we have designed programs to assist in meeting the needs of both groups of individuals.  Information on each of these programs and application forms can be found in the pages for Traditional Student Information and Career Ladder Student Information. 

As you decide which nursing program best fits your needs, you may have questions about the nursing program at the University of Central Oklahoma.  For answers to many of these questions, check out our FAQ's for Traditional Students and FAQ's for Career Ladder Students pages. 

If you are a LPN and desire admission into the UCO Nursing program the following information applies to you:

LPN Applications are due March 31, 2008.  NLN Challenge exams for Med-Surg, Psych/Mental Health, Pediatrics and OB/Maternal Newborn must be completed prior to admission into the program. 

The required TEAS test will be offered two more times before the March 31st deadline for LPNS.  Contact the testing center for dates and times.

The required Physical Assessment course will be provided for LPNs in the summer ONLY.   Please enroll now if you need to take this required course.
