N.U.R.S.E. Nurses Using Resources Supporting Education The alumni group for the Nursing Department at UCO is in the process of reforming and would like YOUR involvement! Nurses Using Resources Supporting Education (N.U.R.S.E.) is the name of the NEW nursing alumni group. This group's primary goal is to provide current students with the funding necessary for pinning and other celebrations, taking away the need for students to raise funding to pay for these special occasions. As funds become available, this group has a secondary goal of providing nursing scholarships for the future graduates of UCO's nursing program. If you have not received this newsletter in YOUR mailbox, or if you know of someone who should have received it and did not, please see our information update page. If you would like to support N.U.R.S.E. financially, please fill out the response form and mail in to the address provided. UCO Nursing memorabilia is available by mail with a nominal charge for shipping. Complete the attached order form to get YOUR nursing memorablia! The first scheduled event for the N.U.R.S.E. group was Open House on November 3, 2006. We had 21 prospective students and 22 alumni who attended. If you were not able to come you missed out on some great food and great conversation. Additional opportunities to meet other alumni will be scheduled soon, so check back often to find out when the next event is scheduled. Do we have your name and address? While you are updating your information, we are also looking for great quotes to use to encourage others to attend the University of Central Oklahoma's nursing program.
